Dear Amanda Bynes: Who Are You Kidding?

I'm about to rant here, and if you don't like my rants, then you should probably click away right this second. Okay? Okay, here goes.

When I woke up this morning, I found several interesting stories on my newsfeed on Facebook about celebrities. You know, Miley and Liam are engaged (congrats, by the way! :D), but this one really stuck out to me because it made me stop and go...

WHAT THE ACTUAL EFF?

Amanda Bynes, 26-year-old actress known for such movies as She's The Man and Big Fat Liar, as well as her own comedy sketch show on Nickelodeon, The Amanda Show, has had a lot of issues when it comes to driving in the past little while. On April 6th, Amanda was arrested in West Hollywood after sideswiping a cop car in her BMW. After this, she backed over a curb while texting and held up traffic by doing a U-turn in the middle of the street.

The actress claims she doesn't drink and it actually makes me very upset that all this stuff is happening to the sweet little kid from The Amanda Show. How silly was I to think that she would accept her punishment gracefully and, you know, bow out?

On Tuesday, Amanda was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Instead of accepting her punishment like anyone else would have to (ex: Khloe Kardashian, Mel Gibson, Nicole Richie), Amanda did something that made her look like a spoiled brat to me...

She tweeted at the President, demanding the cop who arrested her get fired. Uh... really, Amanda?

Let's be real, here, okay? You crashed your car into a police cruiser, endangering not only your life but the lives of others, even if you "weren't drinking" (which, to be honest, I kind of doubt, but I'm not going to make any claims I can't support). Obviously the police officer isn't just going to be like "Oh, you're Amanda Bynes? I'll let you go." He wouldn't be doing his job if he did that and you aren't the first celebrity to be charged with DUI (see my previous list and if that isn't enough, Google celebrity DUIs and see all the hits you get).

Honestly, I can't believe anyone would do something like this after having the kind of week in driving Amanda Bynes had in April. I know that I'm definitely not the only one who feels this way, but I just had to vent. I just can't get over how some people can be so ridiculous and especially Amanda Bynes... she used to be so funny, but now all I really want to do is tell her to put on her big girl pants and get over it.
